How do refunds work?

Booking something new always carries a little risk. Tenseats absorbs the biggest one for you: if the plan falls through on the organizer's end, you are not the one who eats the cost. A guest gets an automatic refund in two situations: the organizer cancels the event, or Tenseats confirms the organizer as a no-show. Either one entitles you to the full amount you paid for the experience, not a percentage and not a fee-adjusted figure. The refund goes straight back to your original payment method through Stripe, including the platform and Stripe fees.

How we keep Tenseats a place people trust. Tenseats works because organizers and guests both show up and treat each other well, and most of the time that is exactly what happens. Here is what counts as a problem, and what a confirmed one costs the account behind it. Do not harass or threaten another guest or organizer. That rule holds in a review, in a comment, in a message, everywhere. Asking someone to stop and then contacting them again anyway is harassment, whatever the follow-up message says. Show up for what you book, and if you cannot, cancel with as much notice as the listing allows. No-shows count against the account on either side of the booking, guest or organizer.

How do payouts work?

Every dollar a guest pays for your experience runs through Stripe, and Stripe is also how it gets to you. The guest service fee. Ticket sales carry a small service fee that the guest pays on top of your ticket price, captured automatically at checkout. You keep the ticket price; the fee is not taken out of your payout. The exact figures for any sale show on the transaction itself under Settings > Transactions. When the money actually moves. Once your account is active, payouts follow Stripe's own standard payout schedule to your connected bank account. Stripe's own dashboard for your connected account is the source of truth for the exact interval.

What is the guest service fee?

Joining is free. When you buy a ticket, you pay the ticket price plus one service fee. It scales with the ticket and stops at $4.99, so a cheaper ticket costs you less. Other platforms price tickets as a percentage, which means the fee grows as the night does. Ours steps with the ticket price, and once a ticket passes $99.00 it holds at $4.99 however well an event sells. Stripe's standard processing fee applies on top. The service fee is $0 when you're an Insider, or when your organizer is an Insider (chef, mixologist, venue host, or creator). The ticket price always goes to the organizer.
