Two friends sharing a knowing look across a candlelit Tenseats home supper-club table, the kind of night you find through people you trust.

Built different,
on purpose.

The best food in your city has always traveled by word of mouth, through people you trust. We built Tenseats to carry it further, and put a real experience at the end of every recommendation.

Word of mouth

It always starts with a friend.

A friend tells you about this dinner party. A chef someone swears by. A table you hear about the week before it fills.

The best nights have always traveled this way, person to person, through people whose taste you trust.

Tenseats gives that its own room. Every experience is run by someone real, and every recommendation leads to a night you can actually book.

The economics

One clear fee.
Organizers keep the rest.

For guests

$0.00guest fee, capped

One service fee, and it stops at $4.99. Other platforms price tickets as a percentage, so the fee climbs with the night. Ours steps with the ticket price, then holds however well an event sells, and it drops to nothing when either side is an Insider.

The cap is the Tenseats service fee. Card processing is added at checkout.

For organizers

Nothingto pay

  • Ad free, always
  • Your data stays yours
  • Insider access included

Everything beyond that fee is theirs to keep.

Pricing reflects published rates for comparable ticketed event use cases at time of writing. On most platforms the organizer chooses whether to absorb their fee or pass it to the guest, so what a guest sees can vary. Other platforms may negotiate custom terms.

The Elements · The Planner

Know what the night actually costs.

Food, hours, overhead and pricing in one place, so your energy goes into the night itself.

What gets missed

Who is actually eating

“Sold out” and “how many plates” are different numbers.

The venue owner and your photographer
they eat too
The two vegans at table three
so the main is for ten
The friend who cancels day-of
food already bought, still counted

The hours behind the night

Sourcing, prep, cooking, plating, washing up at midnight.

Your own time
priced in, like any other business
The prep the day before
still this dinner's cost
Help booked for three hours
most have a five-hour minimum

Every cost beyond the plate

Small on their own. Together, often more than food and bar combined.

Linens you already own
laundered every time, replaced yearly
The chargers you're renting again
the sixth time, buying wins
Glassware, candles, ice, parking
quiet, and the biggest line

Money that comes back

Deposits that return, and things this dinner gets to reuse.

The $500 kitchen deposit
back in your account next week
The half bag of flour
next month's dinner, already paid
What you'd have spent anyway
the salt, the oil, the pepper

A season of twelve dinners

$0

That’s $84.81 more per dinner, once you price your own hours in.

A year of dinners

0hours

You get them back, because the Planner does the unit math for you.

Founder, Tenseats

From the founder.

When I lived in Shanghai, there was a dinner party experience I kept trying to get into. It was always sold out, and I left before the next seat opened up. That is why I built Tenseats. So many chefs, mixologists and people with amazing homes could be making fantastic experiences like that for other people, and you should be able to find them.
